The Annual Limitation of $6,024,300 represents the annual plan cost level above which a 40% excise tax (Cadillac Tax) will apply on the excess benefit beginning in the year 2018.  Assuming 9.0% 'Without BCA' medical plan trend, it is anticipated that the Projected Cost (red line) will exceed the Annual Limitation (blue line) in the year 2020 and excise tax will become due.
